Here are some teams that had particularly strong weeks
Mandan
The Braves just keep on rolling towards that rematch with Bismarck Century. Mandan earned three wins last week, beating Dickinson 68-48 Tuesday before edging Bismarck St. Mary’s 54-52 behind 18 points from Lakyn Darras and 12 points and 12 rebounds from Megan Zander. The Braves finished the week with an eight-point win over Williston.
Fargo Shanley
The Deacons rebounded nicely from an upset loss to Fargo Davies at the end of the previous week, picking up three wins to improve to 15-3 on the year. Shanley beat West Fargo Sheyenne 67-61 in West Fargo to start the week and finished things off with a pair of dominant wins over Fargo South and North – by 33 and 44 points respectively.
LaMoure/Litchville-Marion
LLM went into the District 5 tournament with four losses. Two of those were to teams the Loboes would see in the postseason. The Loboes responded by grinding their way to three straight wins by less than 10 points. They kicked things off with a win over Ellendale and followed with a 62-59 win over Oakes (lost 44-34 to Oakes in late January) and a 48-41 win over top-seeded Carrington.
