<strong>Path To State: 6A West Area Preview (Deer Creek vs Norman)</strong>
Game Information: 2/28/19 @ Edmond North-8 PM
The first game of their regular season started with each other back in November. Now, 3 months later, they meet again. Last time these two teams met, Deer Creek pulled an 8-point victory. Since that game, Deer Creek has yet to beat Norman North in which Norman has lost to once by a single point earlier in the year. Later in the year, Norman pulled one of their largest victories against Norman North by 19 points. This game is guaranteed to be a good game and can go in anyone’s favor.
<u>Deer Creek</u>
Ranked in 6A at number 10, Deer Creek has an overall record of 16 wins and 9 losses on the season. Of all of the 9 losses, only 1 loss was by 10 points. All other losses have been less than 10 points with most being nail bitters by score, losing by 1-3 points for most games. Aside from the losses, they’ve capped some good wins against two Edmond schools, Edmond Santa Fe and Edmond Memorial

<ul>
<li>Brianna Scott: Long and Athletic. Driver and knocks down 3 pointers if left open on the catch</li>
<li>Skylar Vann: Driver, uses her body extremely well, handles ball from coast to coast.</li>
<li>Angel Scott: Long, Tall Point guard, great defense from length, controlled ball-handler and a nice 3-point shot</li>
<li>Kaylee Cline: Athletic forward who is also a 3. She is quick off the ground and has a nice outside shot.</li>
<li>Jenna Marshall: Lefty on the team that has a quick first step on the dribble. She has great pressure defense due to her quickness and unmatched effort.</li>

<u>Norman</u>
Norman is currently ranked 12 in 6A with an overall record of 18 wins and 7 losses. Conference play has been up and down for Norman. Despite the downs, Norman had a big up in defeating Edmond Santa Fe by 20 points at the start of the new year and recently defeating top 5 ranked in 6A, Moore to end their regular season.

<li>Kelbie Washington: Slasher, good defender and Quick point guard that plays with high intensity.</li>

<li>Myka Perry: Great ball-handler, always in control, not turn over prone</li>

<li>Kendra Gillespie: Mobile forward player that handles the ball, can shoot and drive.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Mikayla Parks: Shooter with range, high IQ and good defender.</li>
</ul>
