Grassroots Preview: Midwest Finest 17U
The Midwest Finest program is a well-organized, well-run program with girls primarily from Central Indiana and East Central Indiana. They always field a team in each age group, and occasionally they’ll have a couple of teams in a given age group. Midwest Finest looks to the leadership of program director Mr. Lee Larkins.

Overview: This Finest team isn’t very big, but they have some really nice perimeter players. The most talented prospect in the group is probably wing Addie Gardner. She is extremely long, fluid, and smooth, and she is a very good perimeter shooter who requires extra attention from a defense. Point guard Taylor Heath is back this year, after missing all of her Freshman year due to an injury. She is feisty, skilled, and really understands how to play. Becky Booth is an intriguing athlete with some length. She earned quality minutes this year for a good Pendleton Heights team. And Alexis Mead is a solid shooting/scoring guard who plays with a good motor. This team is a nice collection of small college prospects, and I think college coaches will really like their persistance and toughness.
