Continue ReadingSigning day isn’t that far into the future and there are still plenty of good players in Kentucky who will decide on their college destination before the signing period opens on April 17th. Here’s a quick look at Kentucky’s top unsigned Seniors.
- Ivy Turner, Danville – One of the state’s most valuable players and a walking bucket, Ivy was near the top in Kentucky with a 25.9 points per game average as a Senior. She also added 8 rebounds per game even though she’s a guard by trade. Despite not being a great shooter from deep at 21% from 3, Turner should be expected to contribute as a Freshman wherever she signs. NKU and Presbyterian have offered the young lady from Danville.
- Aaliyah Hampton, Christian County – After leading Christian County with nearly 19 points per game this season, Hampton is searching for a home at the next level. Aaliyah put up big numbers every night out while being keyed on by the opposing defense. Her career resume is among the most impressive in Kentucky and she ended up just shy of 2,000 career points. Some school will get a steal in the spring signing period.
- Emma Hacker, Menifee County – After being honorable mention all state as Junior, Hacker should find her way on to one of the All-State teams this season. After averaging 21 points and 10 rebounds per game this season, the 6’2 Hacker is still looking for her best fit at the college level. Emma shot 55% from the field and 34% from three in limited tries. Look for some school to be thrilled to take her commitment in the next month.
- Lauren Boblitt, Anderson County – Another player on this list with great size at 6’1, Lauren won’t blow anyone away with her 9 points per game average but she has been invited to multiple all star games this postseason where her size and skill set could attract the eyes of college coaches who see her upside and expect her to develop into a really nice college player over the next 4 years.
- Kaitlynn Wilks, Lincoln County – Wilks is a fabulous player that was overshadowed a little by Kentucky bound teammate Emma King but Kaitlynn is going to be a nice spring signee for some program. Averaging 15 points and 8 rebounds per game for the Lady Patriots, Wilks is a killer on the low block, shooting 58% on the season and even showed some ability to stretch the floor at 8-17 from three this season. Kaitlynn will be a nice piece for some college next year.
