3 key players to watch this summer- point guard Ivy Wolf will be one of the top point guards in every event this group plays in this summer. Ivy is a winner and plays the game the way it is supposed to be played. Very talented in all aspects of the game, has a lot of college interest. Will still surprise some people with her skill set and intangibles she brings to the table. She has great handles, is a great floor leader and can score either from beyond the arc, or getting to the rim. She has a great ability to find the open players, which will be great for another one of the three to watch, Val Muhlenkamp. The Fort Recovery 2020 is a forward who can play either inside or outside. She will play forward at the next level, and can really shoot the ball well out to the arc. Very good athlete and will be working with the coaches to continue to improve her game of getting to the rim and scoring. Her game has really blossomed the last couple of years and I think can be a steal for Findlay at the next level. Another post to watch is one who like Val, has really improved her game a lot lately. Olivia Patch should really excel this summer to prepare herself for her career at Hillsdale after one more year at Fort Recovery. She is a player who can compete in the paint and is a physically strong who will need to continue to challenge opponents with her post game. Can step out for a midrange, strong rebounder and has the ability to alter shots.
Sleepers to watch: Callie Hunt is new to this team, and she has quickly established herself as a solid multi-dimensional player by either playing post or can step out and has the ability to play some wing with this group. She can shoot the ball with good handles, and with her playing in this system and with this group, she will really suprise a lot of people this summer. She can score and will elevate her game. One of the guards has earned the name “Big Game Janae”, as Janae Hoying has saved her biggest games of her high school career for the 2 state championship games that Minster won the last two years. She is a firecracker and a strong defender with the abiltiy to shoot the three with anybody. Very skilled. The third guard that could surprise some people this summer is Abigail Dickson, and don’t let her 5-foot-2 frame fool you. Abbi is a point guard that will get the job done. Coaches kid with a great basketball IQ with high level skills. She has been a true point guard in the past, watch for her to become a bigger scoring threat this summer.
