The 22nd annual Arizona Elite Spring Classic is always a well ran event with prospects of all levels and college coaches of all levels actively searching for future players for their program. In a multiple part series, we will highlight just some of the standout players from the games that we saw!
Standout Performers, Part 1:
2020 6’3 SF Katelynn Limbardo (Arizona Elite Black) – Long forward prospect that can alter shots, execute half court offense and run the floor pretty well at her height. Her versatility is a big part of the reason she she was actively recruited at the Division 1 level before verbally committing to Montana State University.
2020 5’4 PG Victoria Davis (Arizona Elite Black) – Tough point guard with very good foot speed. She can hit the three ball, but she can really penetrate and dish at a high level. Victoria is verbally committed Hampton University, who was present at the event.
2021 6’2 C Gillyan Landis (Sagebrush Black) – Strong bodied post player that impacts the game with her physicality. She is a put back threat on offense, runs the floor well for her size and has above average hands catching the ball and snatching rebounds. Rising Division 1 prospect in Sagebrush’s program.
2020 6’0 C Madison Dixon (NW Blazers Heat) – Very good rebounder on both sides of the ball. Her hands have really improved in the last year, making her a threat to run the floor full speed, catch and finish on either side. Has looks from schools of all levels, but remains uncommitted at this time.
2022 6’0 SG Camryn Cartwright (NW Blazers Fire) – Good length with the ability to score in transition and push it on the break. Displayed solid shooting form as well. A freshman for coaches to keep their eye on moving forward.
2021 5’9 SF Laura Smith (Sagebrush Black) – High level athlete with a developing offensive skill set. She has the quickness and jumping ability to impact games off of her natural ability, but her basketball IQ has progressed since I last saw her a year ago.
