The former pool is the focus of this post. Like other lists I will be sharing, the list below would have been longer had coaches done a better job of including roster information on Tournament Machine or on game score sheets.
Players are listed in descending order by year and then alphabetically by last name.
Alexis Crane, 5’6″, PG, 2020, Dream Team – Springfield High School, Colorado. Strong ability to drive and dish. Showed a nice scoop shot after euro stepping around set up defenders in transition.
Twin Lakes Stars’ Josea Frame awaits for play to restart.Josena Frame, 5’5″, PG, 2020, Twin Lake Stars – Kinsley. Very strong and quick at getting to the basket on the dribble drive.
Liz Taylor, PG, 2020, BGCB 17U – Wichita Southeast. Of the several times I have seen Taylor play since last November this tournament showed growth in her on-the-floor leadership and voice. Her skill set remains a given.
Abby Harrison, 5’4″, PG, 2021, F.O.E. – Crocker High School, Missouri. Notably handled the ball well against strong half court one-on-one pressure.
Rayna Jasper, PG, 2021, Khaos – Anderson County. Good ball handler in the half court against pressure. Split three defenders to finish at speed in transition off the wing.
SC Dream’s Kali Briar gets off a perimeter jump shot over a defender.Kali Briar, PG, 2022, SC Dream – Sterling. Highlight was a made scoop shot at the end of a 1-on-2 break.
Karsyn Schlesener, 5’6″, PG, 2022, Twin Lake Stars – Southeast of Saline. A strong competitor who showed the ability to elevate, score inside, and follow her shot well.
