The Las Vegas Showcase will go from July 21-23 and the Ballin in the Ballroom will go thru July 23-25. We were on site at the Tarkanian Basketball Academy on day one and this is what we saw.
Top Performers were as followed:
2021, 5’5, PG, Palisades HS, Alexis Pettis – is a smart point guard with talent, she is strong, quick, IQ is above average and her whole purpose is to make her team better. She is strong to the rim and is always looking to give her teammates a pass or two. Nice solid body that can finish thru traffic. We will definitely be watching her again today, she was impressive.
2020, 5’8, PG, Cactus Shadow HS( AZ), Brooke Rodgers – is a dynamic point guard with athletic ability, she is nice with the handles and will shake her opponents and get to rim and finish. She has a track -type body that is strong and able to blow by her opponents and run them down for a dynamic block shot. She is my favorite for Ivy-League. We will watch her again today to make sure of our evaluation.
2020, 6’1, C, Shadow Mountain (AZ), Dyamond Butler-Worley – impressed us with her size and agility on the floor from a girl with her size. She rebounds like no one else on the floor, finishes thru traffic and is a bruiser in the paint. She is more than capable of holding her own in the paint, gets great position on the pin-down. She will continue to improve over her senior year, she has some really good upside, she can be really good with the proper training.
2020, 5’7, SG, Coronado HS (NV) Guilana Caringella – impressed us with her play today, she is a hustle player that can score in some different kind of ways. She played hard the whole game and was a vocal leader on the floor, she is improving and I can tell she needs more experience on the floor. In the right high school program, this kid could prosper, but I believe she needs to spend a little more time in the gym. Great kid to boot.
