Today, we’ll be covering the middle tier prospects in 2020 and 2021. These prospects are mid-major locks with the potential to go higher.
2020
Jasmine Singleton – Millennium/UNLV
Singleton has committed to UNLV and I think that is the perfect level for her. I think it is a level that she will be challenged, but she is more than capable of meeting that challenge. Singleton is a defensive minded guard, who can lock up anybody. Go check out Millennium this year, they have two players already committed and they are my favorite to win state this year.
Anna Ostlie – Chaparral/Boise State
Ostlie has committed to Boise State and again, I think this is a great spot for her. I think Ostlie will really excel at Boise State and she fits their play style very well. Ostlie is the best pure point guard in state, in my opinion. She is really fun to watch. The duo of Anna Ostlie and Jess Finney is especially fun to watch.
2021
Ally Stedman – Pinnacle
I see Stedman as a mid-major prospect as of right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if she ended up going higher, especially if she keeps up this level of progression that we are seeing. She is getting so much better in a really short amount of time.
Taty Clayburne – Perry
Clayburne is going to be a very good mid-major guard. I think this level is going to be great for her so that she can go in and immediate make an impact on the team. Most of her offers right now are low-mid major schools so that is another factor into her making this list.
Kamryn Doty – Sabino
Doty is probably best suited for a mid-major just because of her size. While she is more than skilled enough to hang with high major talent, I don’t think she has to size or athleticism to keep up with those players. However, I see her being a VERY good player at any mid-major program.
Alyssa Brown – Sahuaro
Brown is a very good player but like Doty, I think her size will restrict her. She is only 6’1-6’2 and plays the C position in high school. From what I have seen, I think she will play C or PF in college so that restricts what level she can play at. I could see her playing the 3 or 4 at a mid-major program and being very good.
