<span data-preserver-spaces="true">The Lewisville Fall League held some intriguing prospects from the northern DFW area. In this series, we’ll talk about a pair of upperclassmen that stood out in their head-to-head matchup.</span>
<h4><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Myra Gordon L.D.</span>Bell High School</h4>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">Myra Gordon is one of Texas’ premier guards in the class of 2020. The 5’10 guard is a force to be reckoned with when she’s going downhill. She a physical player who looks for contact as she powers her way to the basket. Gordon has a strong frame that allows her to drag and bounce opponents off her on the way to the rim. She displays great body control absorbing contact and finishing through opponents. </span>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">Gordon has a strong midrange game to diversify her scoring package. It relieves some pressure she receives on the rim as teams throw more bodies at her. </span>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">She’s a crafty finisher, and that’s best put on display in her transition game. There her shiftiness and euro steps can be used to wiggle around opponents for different finishing angles. Which ever school gets her services is going to have a gem on their hands.</span>
<h4><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Laila Lawrence Lewisville High School</span></h4>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">Lawrence possesses incredible potential. She has the athleticism to play either forward position on both sides of the floor. Standing a lanky 6-2 she has the ball skills to be a matchup nightmare. She has an amazing sense of confidence to her game that allows her to pull off moves against guards and bigs.</span>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">She’s developing a court awareness that’s making her into a strong secondary playmaker. Lawrence shows flashes of being a smart passer. In several instances, she threaded the needle through collapsing defenses.</span>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true"> A solid low volume shooter from three. She has a strong base that shapes her developing post-game. Because of her size, she’s a rebound magnet in and out of her immediate range.</span>
