First up, we visit the Lady Hornets of North Kansas City High School. Lead by Coach Jeff Lacy. With the loss of 7 Seniors from his 2018-2019 Class 5 State Championship team, Coach Lacy will lean heavily on 2 key contributors from that team in Junior All-State, PG Ja’mya Powell-Smith and All-Conference Honorable Mention performer SF/PF player Angel Lee.
PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: Ja’mya Powell-Smith 5’5″ PG
Ja’mya can create off the dribble, shoot from outside, finish in traffic, and makes everyone around her better. She is a complete floor general and has the ability to control the game on both ends of the floor.
PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: Angel Lee 5’8″ SF/PF
Angel Lee is a very explosive lefty that can attack the basket and has added a much improved outside shot.
