Now, we will take it a step further and dive deeper into the analysis and coverage. Here are the biggest movers in the 2020 Class. Each one of these girls saw a significant jump in their ranking this update.
Mehgan Strickler 5’11 202 G/F Bella Vista (Current Rank: 23)
Strickler is currently ranked 23 and you will see a slight jump in her ranking. Don’t expect to see as big of a jump as some of the other girls on the list, this is due to her ranking already being so high. However, you can expect to see Strickler jump into the Top 15. I think this positioning is perfect for Strickler as 1-10 is usually D1 prospects and 11-20 ish are more so D2 prospects.
Jada Pourier 6’0 2020 F Valley Christian (Current Rank: 25)
Very similar case of Strickler here. Pourier was already ranked pretty high, so jump expect to see a massive jump like our next two prospects. Expect to see Pourier make her debut in the Top 20 for her class. Much like Strickler, I could easily see Pourier eventually playing D2 basketball.
Jess Winquist 6’1 2020 F ALA-QC (Current Rank: 76)
Jess had by far the biggest jump out of any player in state, regardless of class. As I have seen her more, I have been more and more certain of the jump. A huge part of the reason she was ranked low was because she hadn’t really played club ball until late and was on a lower level team. Not a ton of opportunities to get seen unless you’re on an organizations top team. Expect a big jump from Winquist!
Kaycee Kimball 5’5 2020 G ALA-QC (Current Rank: 42)
Much like her running mate at ALA-QC, Kimball is set to make a solid jump in the rankings. She has really impressed me with her ball handling and shooting primarily. Kimball can really shoot the deep ball and in a world where point guards are a dime a dozen, I think her stellar shooting sets her apart from the pack.
