Ali Zelaya Wins Gatorade Player of the Year
I’ve said it before, I think Zelaya has a good chance of winning the award and I’d predict that she will be a contender for it. Since this is bold predictions, I might as well make a prediction on who will win the award. I think Ali Zelaya wins the Gatorade Player of the Year.
Millennium Doesn’t Win State as Easily as Many Think
I still believe that Millennium is the favorite and will win state. However, I don’t think it will be a cake walk as many people think. I think there are plenty of teams that are talented enough to give them a run for their money. Primarily, I think Casteel would have the best chance of beating them. In conclusion, I still believe Millennium wins state but I think the road is a little rockier than predicted.
Daeja Johnson Makes All-Conference 1st Team
Last season, Daeja Johnson made 5A San Tan All-Region 2nd Team. This season, I think she will step her game up a ton and I think she will make the All-Conference 1st Team. I think that the opportunity to score the ball will be more available to her this year. I think she will really have to take the lead offensively and that could turn in a solid season for her.
Marana Shocks People
Love Marana’s duo of Annabella Muscoreil and Antoinette Audiss. I think this dynamic duo will have great success in Tucson and could potentially upset some Phoenix programs come playoff time. They will be a team that I will have to keep an eye out for.
