Premier is the Most Competitive Region in the Conference & State
Perry, Hamilton, Chandler, Basha, and Xavier are tough teams! Each squad has their share of college prospects and could compete. I think that this region will be by far the toughest region to play in within the conference and the state. This will be interesting because you could potentially see some top teams drop a few games and that could have a significant impact on their playoff seeding.
Mia Davis makes 6A All-Conference Team as a Freshman
Making the All-Conference team is hard and is a big recognition, especially in this conference. 6A has so many amazing teams and a ton of great prospects worthy of the honor. I truly believe that Mia Davis has a good shot at making the All-Conference team as a freshman.
Valley Vista and Jennah Isai
No secret that Isai is hurt and there is no time table of when she’ll be back, to my knowledge of course. I’ve heard multiple different stories, either way she’s going to be out half the season it sounds like. I believe that Valley Vista can still compete for a state championship without Isai. VV is loaded and I think MDJ is enough to get the job done. Without Isai, I believe that are contenders. With isai, I believe they are the favorite.
Marisa Davis-Jones Averages 20-25 PPG and 10-15 RPG
MDJ has improved tremendously and has added a pretty reliable 3 point shot to her arsenal. I think she could easily average 20-25 points per game. With Jennah Isai out, the opportunity to score will be open even more. A lot rides of MDJ’s shoulders this season but I think she is more than capable of handling it and turning in a monster stat line.
