Scary Good Seniors

Scary Good Seniors

It’s late October and we all know what that means: Halloween! It’s time for candy, costumes, and all things scary. Speaking of scary, there are some senior basketball players that are so good it’s scary. [player_tooltip player_id="2478" first="Gabrielle" last="Elliott"] (SF, Detroit Edison) Elliott is an elite player nationally. Just yesterday she committed to Clemson and will be a key factor in the development of that program. Elliott is a smooth athlete on the wing that can handle the ball and get out in the open floor. She is a true 3 level scorer. Elliott has the potential to be a very special player on the college level. [player_tooltip player_id="126235" first="Cheyenne" last="McEvans"] (G, Southfield A&T) McEvans is a Buffalo commit. She is so skilled on the perimeter. McEvans has incredibly soft hands and moves the defender wherever she wants with the dribble. She has a soft touch, especially in her mid range game. McEvans attacks the glass from the perimeter and will regularly notch double figure rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id="126236" first="Aaliyah" last="McQueen"] (SF, Flint Carman Ainsworth) McQueen has shown the country just how talented she is. She is committed to Illinois and will be a quality player in the B1G. McQueen is a top notch shooter with range extending beyond the 3 point line. Defenders can’t play her too tight on the perimeter because her power dribble drive is a bona fide weapon. McQueen will search for contact and carry her defender to the rim. [player_tooltip player_id="23749" first="Aaliyah" last="Nye"] (SF, East Lansing) Nye is an outstanding prospect and a top 150 senior player in the country. She is an Illinois commit. Nye is a great 3 point shooter that hits at a high percentage. She is best known in Michigan for her tough and physical defense. Nye plays solid team D and seems to take pride in being able to get stops in 1-on-1 situations [player_tooltip player_id="23748" first="Whitney" last="Sollom"] (PF, Hartland) Sollom is an elite post prospect, and in my opinion, is still very underrated on a national scale. She is committed to the University of Michigan. Sollom has as footwork in the paint that is as good as any post player in the midwest. She can score facing the bucket or with post moves with her back to the basket.
