Katelyn Levings was an immovable force Tuesday night on both ends of the floor. She finished with 14 points in the win. Offensively, she displayed every talent her team needed to win; rebounding, scoring from the post, passing down-floor and even converting on a couple 3-pointers on the night. Defensively, she deflected every pass that journeyed near her region of the floor, creating turnovers and draining Southmoore’s confidence in its inside game. Levings opened the season the way a No. 1 player should: with impeccable play.

Isabelle Langenburg was the perfect compliment to Levings’ performance. She scored the ball exceptionally well, netting 9 points and essentially besting the Southmoore defense all night. Langenburg is an especially heady player, able to facilitate through the Lady Bulldogs’ offense as a swingman. She operated from the corners, short corners and extended free-throw line offensively, while protecting the paint defensively. She hit a 3-pointer, took a few steals the distance and defended the SaberCats’ attack.

Take our word for it when we say that Baylor Franz is going to be an exceptional talent. Her ball control and shiftiness aren’t common among young players, but she possess all the skills to be a top-notch player in her class as she finished with 13 points in the win. Franz is a special talent in the floor general role, and she does just about everything right; passes the ball down-floor, passes the ball accurately in movement, handles the ball, takes the ball to the rim and gets other hands involved.
