Stedman put up 22-points in the game to break into the prestigious club. As a junior, she still has a long career ahead of her and doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon. Her performances during the tournament showed she is a huge asset to the Pioneers and that her role with the team as a true leader will only continue to grow going into her senior season.
The 6A division in Arizona is so big that it can be easy to miss players like Stedman, but she’s one you’re really going to want to keep on your radar, especially as regional play kicks off after the start of the new year. She’s fast, has a great ability to see the court and works hard to not only get rebounds but also help her teammates out with scoring when the opportunities present themselves.
Stedman has a number of offers already, but that list will without a doubt continue to grow as the season progresses. Pinnacle doesn’t have any games for the rest of 2019 and will return to action in 2020 when they face Tucson High at home, so if you’re looking for a great game to attend in early January, that will be one of them.
While Stedman still has another season and a half in front of her, I fully believe she has the opportunity to hit 2,000 career points. My belief in this only continues to grow when you look at how she and her teammate Shay Figueroa will really be the main two leaders of the team next year following the departure of the lone senior Nora Kruja next season.
