Two of Broward County’s Top Girls Basketball Programs Faced Off

With the season being underway, two of the top teams in Broward County faced off with each other tonight. St. Thomas Aquinas and Deerfield Beach Bucks both made it to last years Broward County Athletic Association (BCAA) Girls Big 8 Tournament. The BCAA features the top 8 teams in the county by record a week before the district tournament starts. With much anticipation both teams are looking to get themselves in tip top form coming off the Thanksgiving break. Both teams made it to the state tournament in Lakeland last year and both teams are looking to make a repeat trip. St. Thomas pulled out the victory by a score of 60 - 34. This game featured good basketball with great talent. Arkansas commit, Samara Spencer of St. Thomas had a spectacular game tonight. Aaliyah Reid of Deerfield Beach was a monster on the boards.
