At the launch of PGH AZ, it was pretty much a one man operation and that caused me to put in a ton of hours to piece together each class rankings. So I thoroughly appreciate my fellow scouts for helping out these updates together.
Over the next few weeks, we will be putting these updates live on the site. We will be covering new players added and discussing which players have seen dramatic shifts upwards for each class.
Today, we cover the 2020 class. Not too much has changed in terms of the top 10. A few players have swapped places but nothing too dramatic. You will see some new faces in the top 15. Players such as Amayah Kirkman (5’8 G Saguaro) and Zakiirah King (6’0 F Hamilton) have officially made their debut in our rankings.
Kirkman recently moved to AZ, so I am told, so it is very clear why she was not in our rankings before since she did not live in state. However, since arriving, she has been making noise! Kirkman is averaging 20+ points per game and has already received a ton of college interest from AZ JUCO’s and NAIA schools.
Another key addition was Zakiirah King. King has been on my radar for a while but I just had not seen her play enough in person to justify an accurate spot in our rankings. After seeing her play more and more in person, I became sold and am a big fan of her game. Both Kirkman and King make their debut on our rankings, coming in the top 15.
