Dana Rose Dana Rose 6'0" | SF Fort Loramie | 2021 State OH , 6-0 Fort Loramie
Complete player and one of the leaders for the Redskins. Dana impressed with her versatility both inside and out. Moved well without the ball, was vocal and effective in different positions. Active on the perimeter with good handles, and can drop down low and matchup with a post. Sees the floor well and has a high basketball IQ.
Elliana Schaefer, 5-6 Margaretta
It was the first time I have seen her play, and was impressed with her calm demeanor in a pressure game. She has good range from the perimeter and solid handles. Can hit the pull up jumper, or can penetrate and score at the rim.
Nakyah Terrell Nakyah Terrell 5'7" | CG Canton Mckinley | 2021 State OH 5-7 Canton McKinley
A solid floor leader at the point guard spot. Athletic and has a strong floor presence. Can handle the pressure well with solid handles, and has a good head on her shoulders for the game. Makes things happen. Strong 3-point shooter and sees the open floor and will find the good shot.
Taylor Strock Taylor Strock 5'5" | CG Napoleon | 2021 State OH , 5-8 Napoleon
Really liked this kids game. She was aggressive to the ball and communicates well with her teammates. Taylor moves well without the ball and has great court awareness. Can get strong to the rim and finish, and controls the tempo of the game. Very solid handles. She just didn’t miss in her game with 25 points, consistent from the floor.
Danielle Vuletich Danielle Vuletich 6'3" | PF Western Reserve | 2021 State OH , 6-2 Western Reserve
Having seen her in person at the Dayton Shootout last fall, I really liked her game. She didn’t disappoint on Saturday even though her team struggled to compete on this day. Danielle is headed to Robert Morris, and is a long athletic post player who is strong inside 5-feet. Good touch at the rim, can alter shots on defense and is solid from the line.
Taylor Thierry Taylor Thierry 5'11" | PG Shaker Heights Laurel | 2021 State OH , 5-10 Laurel
What I liked about this kid is her grit and desire to take over a game. She went toe-to-toe with the best team in the state and played very well. Good handles, anticipates well and finishes strong at the rim. In the transition game, she uses her athleticism and aggressiveness to produce a good outcome, as on one particular play, she blocked a shot, took it coast-to-coast and finished with contact.
Laila Phelia, 5-10 Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame
A key part in their quest for a back-to-back state title this year, Laila is so athletic and uses it to a major advantage against her opponents. Can get to the rim and score, she is a strong and quick athlete who can rebound and disrupt defensively.
Zoe Miller Zoe Miller 5'11" | C Hiland | 2021 State OH , 6-1 Berlin Hiland
Enjoyed watching her really do it all in the nightcap against the powerhouse Winston Salem Christian Lions. Zoe is a strong 6-foot-1 wing who can get physical in the paint if needed, or she will beat you with the three. Can get to the line and knock down her shots. Hard working defender who can change the complexity of a game. Versatile and a proven winner.
Angelica Jean-Juste, 5-9 Winston Salem (NC) Christian
Athletic slasher who is great in the transition game. Solid defender, can finish at the rim and will create and attack. Loves to play in the uptempo style. Came off the bench for some good minutes. Struggled offensively in her Sunday game, just needs to utilize her strengths.
