Emilee Boyer – (6’0/C/2022)
Scouting Report:
Listed at 6’0, Emilee Boyer is much more than that. She feels more 6’2 than 6’0 with a very strong build and excellent frame. A towering prospect that immediately stands out on the court. A very dominant presence in the paint, especially defensively. A bonafide rim-protector, who against Huron had three blocks in one possession. Shorter guards had trouble scoring off of her in the paint.
Offensively, when the defense collapsed on her she is great at kicking the ball out to shooters. She almost does this to a fault. You’d almost like to see her dip her shoulders and put up a strong move to the hoop instead. Great for a formidable inside-out game though. Around the block she doesn’t always work or get low to get great position; plays too straight up. Has a great feel for relocating to find an open void in the defense, but needs to put her body on defenders more and more aggressively.
As a rebounder she’s able to get higher than opposing players because of her incredible length and wing-span. She doesn’t have to get off her feet too much to snag a board.
Division II schools need to know the name Emilee Boyer. What if she expands her offensive game? The sky is the limit!
