<strong><a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/hadley-miller/">[player_tooltip player_id="2522" first="Hadley" last="Miller"]</a> </strong>is leaving her mark on the Three Rivers basketball program. The senior wing is breaking records before heading to Grand Valley State University. Last week, <strong>Miller </strong>became the Three Rivers career record holder for all time steals and assists. We caught up with her talk about her game, the records, and more.

What is the biggest strength of your game?

For me, my biggest strength of my game is being able to see the court. I feel like I have the ability to see open passes and open lanes to be able to shoot, drive, or pass.

You broke the Three Rivers record for career assists and career steals. How does it feel?

It feels great! I’ve worked hard to be able to get to where I am now, but I want to continue to further my game.

What are your goals for this season?

My goals for this season is to win a district championship, but along the way to getting there just being the best leader and teammate I can be. As this is my last year, I want to be able to leave the team and program with great energy and for them to continue with that energy as the season comes around next year.

Who is the toughest player that you’ve ever matched up with?

In the Wolverine Conference it would have to be <strong>Kaitlyn</strong> <strong>Zarycki</strong>. She plays basketball at Saginaw Valley now, but she always gave me the hardest time. She was and still is an amazing player and is someone I look up too.

What would you tell a kid that wants to be as successful in the game as you’ve been?

I would tell kids truly wanting to pursue a sport that hard work is key. You’re going to have good days and bad days that’s given. But continuing to show up everyday is something that will separate you from others and will give you the best opportunity to excel in your sport.

What’s your favorite gym?

My favorite gym to play in would be Sturgis. I love the atmosphere and energy playing rivals away brings to the game.

Who’s the best teacher you’ve ever had? Why?

I would say my Mom is my best teacher, but I consider her more of a mentor. She was the one who originally taught me hard work and what it’s like really wanting to get better at something everyday. She pushes me really hard in good way and has always had the most confidence in me and has given me the opportunity to do what I love.
