Havyn Heinz – (5’6/PG/2020)
Scouting Report:
If you’re looking for a point guard that can put up some big-time points and score the ball, Havyn Heinz is that. Simply put, Havyn Heinz is a well-rounded offensive threat from all areas of the court.
Started the game out with a crossover into a step-back two. Very quick first-step consistently getting by defenders. Able to drive off of ball pressure to kick out to wide open shooters. Comes off of ball-screens and is immediately a threat. She’s not afraid to square up a defender and pull a deep three. She’s able to easily get into the lane both with her left and right and finish or create a shooting foul opportunity. She normally makes the defense pay with knocking down both free throws with ease. Off the ball she is very active and on the move. In great condition, playing heavy minutes and still playing quick and fast. She crashes the boards hard and is able to come up with the ball occasionally. Not many holes in her offensive game, but she does struggle with size inside a little.
Defensively, has very quick feet with great defensive slide. Smart-quick defender that forces different types of turnovers other than steals. She picks her spots on when to pressure the ball-handler aggressively to limit fouls. She had multiple deflections versus Harrisburg.
In conclusion, Havyn Heinz, without a doubt, could easily carry on her scoring ability to the next level.
