Cy Creek explodes to 6A Regional semis

Cy Creek explodes to 6A Regional semis

I think my exact words were Cypress Creek and everyone else at the start of the season and they have not shown a let down after playing like they were playoff ready before the district even started. One of the best backcourts in the country, Rori Harmon and Kyndall Hunter, Morgan Hill (Louisiana Monroe) and Taylor Jackson are just a hard foursome to overcome, especially with the improvement of Jackson who is finishing consistently but they had to get by Heights and their Big Three of Gracelynn Alvarez, Sincere Roberts and Tierra Simon, keep in mind all seven of the named players are listed in the PGH Top 100 for their various classes but two things told me this was a done deal early, Simon picking up her second foul with over 2 minutes left in the opening quarter and Creek's 35 points to finish the first quarter.and finish the game with over 100 [caption id="attachment_148435" align="alignleft" width="150"] Rori Harmon[/caption] This game was still exciting, I tweeted that there had to be 10 three pointers right after the second quarter started, Ally Hannan dropped a couple herself in the opening period but after the Simon foul, it was all downhill for Heights, well or maybe up Hill for Creek because Morgan was simply on a mission and she finished the game with over 20 points and had to have a double-double. Jackson had double digits, Harmon, as well and numerous assists including no looks and her dazzling ball-handling which included her patented crossover combined with the hesitation [caption id="attachment_148438" align="alignleft" width="150"] Kyndall Hunter[/caption] Hunter was unconscious taking target practice from deep, she had to have 6 or 7 that barely grazed the net but with her strength and athleticism, she's hard to contain once she gets going and her mindset has always been "you can't stop me" and that's the mindset you want, especially when you can deliver and unlike my mail, well you get the picture. Big ups to Ri'yah Francis whose improvement tells me that this is going to be the team to beat next year as well but first, they have to battle the Summer Creek vs Beaumont United winner on Friday [caption id="attachment_148436" align="alignleft" width="150"] Gracelynn Alvarez[/caption] Alvarez had her own shooting exhibition as well, numerous three pointers and attacking the basket and when you mention getting to the rim, Roberts just elevates over defenders and made some acrobatic shots as well. Tiera Simon came back into the game with a vengeance after those early fouls and the thing about this squad is that they only have one senior so when you look at that, as well as the energy and offense from Jada Beasley and Aaliyah Macias, not to mention Janiaya Johnson who definitely caught me by surprise, the Bulldogs have another year to get it done
