Tuesday, February 4th
Perry @ Hamilton
Hamilton and Perry are both sitting in at the top of the 6A premier region and are both in the top four when it comes to playoff rankings. Hamilton was able to take the first game, but will Perry be able to even the series at 1-1?
Desert Vista @ Mountain Pointe
It’s a classic rivalry match between the two schools with a lot on the line. Both teams are 6-1 in region play, but Mountain Pointe holds a slight edge with a 10-5 conference record to remain on top of the 6A Central region. Mountain Pointe won the first game, but can Desert Vista pull off an upset?
Thursday, February 6th
Valley Vista @ Millennium
All eyes will be on this game Thursday as two of the best teams in the state battle it out. It’s a huge rivalry game between the two teams, which always brings out the best in each competitor, but who will want it more?
Shadow Mountain @ Greenway
Greenway is a talented squad, but it will be questionable if they have enough of what it takes to beat Shadow Mountain. Greenway is sitting in second place in region standings, while Shadow Mountain remains on top.
Cactus @ Deer Valley
This is another game where the number one team in the region is taking on the number two team. Deer Valley is having a hot season and will look to close it out on a strong note with a win over Cactus.
Friday, February 7th
Chaparral @ Pinnacle
Yet another rivalry game taking place this week is between Chaparral and Pinnacle. Pinnacle has outperformed expectations, while Chaparral has struggled a bit due to injuries. Pinnacle took the first game, but Chaparral will be looking for revenge in this one.
Cactus Shadows @ Desert Mountain
Cactus Shadows has shown strength on the court this season and is currently sitting at the top of the 5A Northeast Valley region. Desert Mountain, who is sitting in second, will be the most likely to give them a run for their money.
Moon Valley @ Thunderbird
It’s not a match-up between two top teams, but it can have some serious implications as to how things shake out for the 4A playoff rankings.
Saturday, February 8th
Millennium @ Gilbert
It’s a rematch of last year’s 5A state championship that everyone is excited to see. Gilbert lost quite a few seniors last year but has still managed to have an incredibly successful year despite the fact. Meanwhile Millennium remains a powerhouse that seems nearly untouchable.
