The Mitchell Kernels girls basketball team has a list of solid prospects that we need to know.
Avia Haley – (5’8/G/2021) – Very, very quick feet at the guard position. Gets in good and low position both offensively and defensively to be quicker than her opponent. A great player at picking up full-court defensively and getting in the ball-handlers face and making it difficult. Avia plays very hard the whole game and keeps up her quickness as well. She showed that she is not afraid to pull a three at any time.
Camryn Krogman – (5’7/G/2021) – Guard that will make you stop her first driving to the hoop. Camryn drives very hard to the hoop with her right drawing fouls and getting buckets. Not only does she drives hard but she possesses good speed with the ball. Didn’t take many threes in this matchup but she was able to knock one down. So she can hit one if need be.
Adaya Plastow – (5’7/G/2021) – Plastow seemed like the x-factor for the Kernels. She was a do-it-all hustle type player that showed some skills as well. A very scrappy player that fought hard for the ball and came up with offensive rebounds. Able to handle the ball, make passes, and make plays. She produced an And-1 bucket with her left in this contest. Also, had a very impressive steal and quickly finished coast-to-coast in no time.

Macy Kempf – (5’10/F/2021) – Kempf was the player that immediately stood out on the court. A good athlete with decent size. To start the game she had a drive and finish from the free throw line to the right side of the hoop – it was a set play. She showed the ability to drive hard baseline with either hand and get by her defender. Also, she wasn’t afraid to shoot a deep two and showed decent range. Defensively, she had very active hands. She is an aggressive rebounder and pulls down boards with authority.
Gia Winger – (5’9/F/2020) – A hard-nosed, hard working, left-handed low post player. Winger is able to work hard for low-post positioning and call for the ball. Works hard and comes up with defensive boards. Has a great feel for the game and the game plan. A player that you can tell has a good basketball IQ.
Mariyha Turner – (6’0/C/2022) – A really good-sized and built up-and-coming prospect to know. In her playing time in this game she was able to make an impact on both ends of the floor. She is definitely not a timid player by any means.
