Recruiting Notes

There were some interesting recruiting notes over the last week in Michigan high school basketball. All 4 classes were represented. The players ranged from floor generals to dominant post players. There were players with a variety of skills, from knockdown to shooters to defensive stoppers. Albion College seemed to be the most active college or university, even notching a commitment. The recruiting news had a midwest and national component as well, seeing activity involving Indiana Tech and DePaul. West Bloomfield is represented by 2 players that have updates in their recruitment. <strong><a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/genevieve-decker/">[player_tooltip player_id="138322" first="Genevieve" last="Decker"]</a> (2021, F, Anchor Bay)</strong> Decker visited Ferris State University. She’s following a big fall (especially on a national scale at the Prep Girls Hoops Top 250) with an excellent high school season. <strong><a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/maddie-dolenga/">[player_tooltip player_id="138394" first="Maddie" last="Dolenga"]</a> (2021, PG, Rochester Adams)</strong> Dolenga visited Albion College. She’s a steady leader that can add some scoring punch. <strong>Sydney Hendrix (2023, West Bloomfield)</strong> Hendrix received an offer from Detroit Mercy. She’ll be involved in recruiting news often over the coming years, showing definite D1 potential. <strong>Myonna Hooper (2022, PG, West Bloomfield)</strong> Hooper received an offer from Detroit Mercy. Hooper has the look of a Division 1 point guard. <strong>Jackie Hurst (2021, PF, Rochester High School)</strong> Hurst visited Albion College. <strong><a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/olivia-kubik/">[player_tooltip player_id="138354" first="Olivia" last="Kubik"]</a> (2021, PG, Henry Ford II)</strong> Kubik visited Indiana Tech. <strong>Anna Loew (2020, F, Central Montcalm)</strong> Loew signed with Albion College. Loew centers her game around her tough defense. <strong><a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/alex-long/">[player_tooltip player_id="138310" first="Alex" last="Long"]</a> (2021, G, Flushing)</strong> Long received an offer from Alma College. Long is a prolific shooter. <strong>Maddie Petroelje (2023, SF, Hudsonville)</strong> Petroelje visited DePaul. She’s a big time talent who could stockpile Division 1 offers. <strong><a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/athena-samson/">[player_tooltip player_id="126266" first="Athena" last="Samson"]</a> (2020, PF, Troy)</strong> Samson committed to Albion College. Samson is a factor on both ends in the paint and always a double-double threat. <strong>Emma Trombly (2021, F, Port Huron Northern)</strong> Tombly visited Wayne State University. She’s a versatile and skilled forward and a rising prospect. &nbsp;
