2023 5-6 PG Crystal Henderson – Kell
The lethal freshman has lit up scoreboards all season long as the Longhorns are now 31-0. Henderson doesn’t need much space to fire accurately. She’s got a quick trigger and can manipulate the defense to create separation. Once she sees one drop, more are coming.
2021 5-9 W Blair Wallis – Buford
Playing in Buford’s dribble-drive offense which leads to plenty of clean looks off good ball movement, Wallis is the perfect player to touch the ball last before it hits the bottom of the net. She does a good job of getting her feet set and holding her follow through. Wallis can score in bunches and completely swing the momentum of a game.
2020 5-11 F Grace Hollifield – North Hall
A big wing that is more of a combo-forward, Grace Hollifield is a premium floor spacer at the high school level. Her size gives her a unique look and a difficult launch angle to contest. Playing alongside Maci Gillespie and Lauren Swanson has led to open looks on the perimeter. Her big shot making ability has the Trojans playing deep into February.
2021 5-11 SG Nicole Azar – Hebron Christian
Azar has torched the nets to the tune of over 100 made threes. She dropped in 10 in her 41-point outburst over Lakeview Academy in the Region 8 Championship. Azar’s length and shooting has drawn the attention of colleges as UNC-Asheville, Western Carolina and Mount St. Mary’s have all offered.
2020 5-6 G Ja’mya Johnson – Valdosta
The little guard has launched a ton of threes but she’s made a good amount. Johnson has sank 76-228 of her attempts good for 33 percent. Johnson is averaging 15.2 points per game and has powered the Wildcats from the perimeter.
