Kameryn Phillips Kameryn Phillips 5'8" | CG Shadow Creek | 2023 State TX (Humble) watching her elevate over players since I guess the 5th grade when she was playing a couple of years up has been like a work of art yet her masterpiece continues to dry as she can control a game from both ends of the court, now that’s special and with her range and desire, #PRICELESS
D’Asia Thomas D’Asia Thomas 6'3" | PF Houston Chrisitian | 2023 State TX (Waller) powerful on the inside, either scoring defending or rebounding makes her a different type of triple threat at 6’2. She’s athletic and can defend on the perimeter as well but her strength and timing are qualities that will secure an abundance of next level offers because size matters when you can play
Riley McCloskey Riley McCloskey 5'3" | PG Memorial | 2023 State TX (Memorial) on the flip, size doesn’t matter when you can play and being heady, under control as well as showing the ability to control the tempo put her in the mix. She and teammate Abigail Tomaski are formidable “Dynamic Duo” but help is a coming next season with one of the areas top 8th graders
Aniyah Sanford Aniyah Sanford 5'5" | PG Langham Creek | 2023 State TX (Langham Creek) she’s everywhere, on and off the court and by off the court, she’s still on it various showcase but alas, I’m not surprised by anything she has done or will do as her poise and handling of pressure were key to her teams run this past season but with 3 more years, the race ain’t over
Shalayne Morgan Shalayne Morgan 5'9" | CG North Shore | 2023 State TX (North Shore) started the season off on JV, injuries to key starters on varsity mobed her up and she hasn’t looked back. Long, athletic and can attacks relentlessly while finishing strong with contact and she really doesn’t know how good she is. She does something I truly love, plays the passing lane to a tee
Jaeden McMillan (College Park) when you can stand at the magic number, that’s 6’0 if you haven’t been paying attention, she can make you pay multiple ways either from long-range, midrange or off the dribble. She also does a good job rebounding and defending, nice upside and helped lead her team to the state tournament
Flyin Adelye (Tompkins) as good as teammate Loghan Johnson Loghan Johnson 5'8" | CG Tompkins | 2023 State TX is, what Adelye brought to the squad was equally important because she showed that she could control the paint and rebound on both ends of the court. Her ability to finish with players hanging on her has always impressed me but her finesse mixed with power gets it done
RyLee Grays RyLee Grays 6'3" | PF The Village School | 2023 State #17 Nation TX (Village School) and when you talk about power, here ya go as she showed me with one move, a drop step in the preseason, that was she was ready. She has gone from just a back to the basket player to one that can score facing the basket and attacking from the wing but as good as she is, she’s nowhere near the finished product after helping lead her team to a state championship
