Skylar Sullivan – St. Thomas More – (5’7/G/2020) – Plays point guard for St. Thomas More and runs their offense. She doesn’t seem to over-dribble the ball and moves the ball around well through the air. Skylar has a nice jump-shot that extends to the three-point line and hits big shots for her team. She shows good shot selection and doesn’t force up bad or forced shots. Defensively, she shows good position on and off the ball, mirroring the ball and contesting shooters.
Katlyn Briggs – Mt. Vernon/Plankinton – (6’0/C/2020) – A solid hard-working post player that controls the paint area. Katlyn seals her defender well and also makes them pay with her finishing ability. She can use both her right and left to finish with power. Not a super-athletic player but she definitely moves well enough for her size and strength. A good passer and a smart decision maker with the ball. Katlyn is always fighting for position on both ends of the court and she looks for a body to box out.
Maggie LaCompte – Winner – (5’8/G/2021) – A little over-shadowed by all of the talent around her on her team, Maggie is a natural player herself. Maggie is a player that plays within the game and plays her game and role. She doesn’t try to do too much but is able to still make an impact. Doesn’t create her own shot all of the time but has a good three-point shot when left open. She is great at picking her spots when to put up a shot and makes great decisions. Maggie is a good and solid athlete.
Kalla Bertram – Winner – (5’8/G/2021) Kalla is a really fun player to watch. She is the type of player that you would want all of your players to play like. A very high energy and full-throttle player, Kalla plays full speed all of the time. A versatile player that uses her high-motor and skills to make a lot of plays for Winner. A good defender, flying around trying to make plays. She has very good speed from one end of the court to the other. Comes up with offensive rebounds and a ton of 50/50 balls. With the ball, she’ll drive by the first defender, then spin-off the next defender and proceed to finish with her right hand. Along with her defensive ability, Kalla scores the ball well too.
Mairin Duffy – St. Thomas More – (5’11/F-C/2022) – Mairin is one of St. Thomas More’s most valuable pieces to them being such a great team. Shows an effective step-through and finish move. Overall, she simply has a great arsenal of moves and counter moves inside to create separation and score the ball. Great at staying in front of the ball-handler on the perimeter. Her shot extends out to three and has a good inside and outside game, making her a mismatch for defenders. She does a good job at kicking out to shooters when an extra defender comes to help defend her inside. Boxes out well and is consistently finding a body. She does well tracking down offensive and defensive rebounds for St. Thomas More. Mairin is a valuable player that definitely has next level promise.
Bella Swedlund – Winner – (5’8/G/2022) – Bella is a playmaker to say the least. Bella is currently one of the best Sophomores in the state. A complete combo-guard that can handle it very well and score from all areas of the court. Has a very nice pull-up game and shows accuracy on long threes. She can really catch fire from three-point range. A great ball-handler that has all the dribbling moves and counter moves that you can think of. Bella is a prospect that should be a hot commodity for a wide range of colleges/universities.
Kelsey Sachtjen – Winner – (5’10/F-C/2022) – A smart player, Kelsey will wall-up defensively in the post and board the miss, rather than trying to block every shot. Kelsey plays more of a defensive and rebounding role for Winner at this point in her career on a stacked roster.
Scarlet Grimshaw – St. Thomas More – (5’5/G/2023) – A good athlete with great movement skills laterally. Scarlet can play the point or on the wing. A Freshman that comes off the bench and gets the job done when given the opportunity. Doesn’t create her own shot and might play a little tentative but has a nice set-shot. Look for Scarlet to expand this aspect of her game with more experience and more of a prominent role. An impressive ability to close-out on shooters with high hands and has good defensive recovery ability. Shows top-notch defensive position and a key piece in her team’s team defense. You won’t find many players that would be a mismatch for Scarlet when it comes to quickness as she seems to always stay in front of drivers. Scarlet will be one of the key pieces at the guard position for St. Thomas More in the coming years.
Jada Mollman – St. Thomas More – (5’10/F/2023) Jada is a player that is not great in one area but is a very sound player for a Freshman. Decent size and movement ability. She doesn’t get a ton of opportunities on such a great team, but her time will come. Jada is a developing player that could become a solid prospect and will be a contributor for St. Thomas More in the years ahead.
Emilee Fox – Mt. Vernon/Plankinton – (5’7/G/2024) – An eighth-grader that more than belongs. Emilee is a great scorer and she can read the defense well to make excellent passes to her teammates. She makes very quick decisions with the ball and zips the ball with accuracy. She moves very well with the ball and is able to keep her handle moving at a good speed. Has some good ball-handling moves, consisting of a crossover, behind-the-back, and between-the-legs. She has a sweet shooting stroke from three on top of everything. Emilee is already an outstanding player and it will be exciting to see how far she can take her game.
