#1 St. Thomas More vs #16 Tri-Valley
Keys: STM have one of the most talented players in Haleigh Timmer. Can Tri-Valley contain her and the Cavaliers. Tri-Valley is no push over. They have a group of solid and efficient players.
#2 Winner vs #15 Redfield
Keys: Winner is looking to have another perfect season. The have a nice one-two punch with Bella Swendlund and Morgan Hammerbeck. 6’2 Addison Rozell of Redfield is load herself. She was give Winner fits with her versatility
#3 Crow Creek vs #14 Hill City
Keys: Crow Creek’s “Only” lost came at the hands of Winner. While Hills City have 5 losses, one of them coming from Crow Creek. I’m pretty sure Hills wants some get back. So lets run it back again.
#4 Hamlin vs #13 Mt. Vernon/Plankinton
Keys: The Wadsworth sisters (Kylee & Kami) and Cami Stevenson are the go-to for Hamlin. MVP’s Emilee Fox (8th Grader) is a bonafide scorer. It will be tough for Hamlin to contain her. Maybe throwing different defenders at her may help.
#5 Lennox vs #12 Miller
Keys: This is Lennox’s last chance to send its great senior class to state. They have been to the mountain top before but couldn’t complete the task. Although Kadye Fernholz is a Kansas State Volleyball commit. She has high level basketball talent. I expect her and Madysen Vlastuin to battle it out.
#6 Red Cloud vs #11 Tea Area
Keys: This may be a track meet on the court. Both team like to get up and down the court. Tea can shoot it better. They spread you out in transition and blow right by you.
#7 Flandreau vs #10 West Central
Keys: One of the best sweet 16 matchup. Flandreau has high basketball IQ players in Hannah Parsley and Tishara Hardy. These two know the game and plays it well. West Central has quite a few athletes themselves. However their forward Cassidy Siemonsma could be the x-factor.
#8 Aberdeen Roncalli vs #9 McCook Central/Montrose
Keys: This is another 50/50 game that could go either way.
