Moving along with the class of 2022 coverage, the focus in now on some of the top guards in the state. In case you missed it, part one can be found here. Several Division 1 and some Division 2 prospects can be found in part one. Some of the players listed below have Division 1 potential and there are others that will be very good smaller college prospects. Class of 2022: The Guards (Part 2) 5’7 CG [player_tooltip player_id="22332" first="Olivia" last="Moore"] (Mead HS) - A thin combo guard that can shoot it from the midrange or long range. Moore is a solid defender and can fit into the half court or uptempo setting. She’s had some lower level Division 1 interest, but does not have any reported offers on the table. 5’9 CG [player_tooltip player_id="27932" first="Aniyah" last="Hampton"] (Hudson’s Bay HS) - Dealt with unfortunate injury this past high school season, but Hampton has a lot of natural ability and she had a really strong freshman season. She is agile, strong and good in the up and down game. 5’10 SG [player_tooltip player_id="154199" first="Kyra" last="Gardner"] (Raymond HS) - Quite possibly one of the most underrated players in the state. Gardner plays for a small 2B school, but she has been dominant from day one. She is a good athlete and possesses a quality offensive skill set at 5’10. She won MVP of her league averaging 23 points, 9 rebounds, 7 steals, 4 assists and 2 block per game. I would love to see her on the Summer circuit against high level competition, but all signs point towards a legitimate college prospect in Raymond, Washington. 5’6 PG [player_tooltip player_id="27951" first="Jazmyn" last="Stone"] (Annie Wright HS) - Sat out her sophomore season with injury. Before her injury, Stone displayed great quickness and open court ability on both sides of the ball. She can play on or off the ball, but overall she is a quality point guard with college potential. 5’7 CG [player_tooltip player_id="27943" first="Kaimyla" last="Nolen"] (Kentwood HS) - The Foster transfer put together a solid sophomore season for Kentwood, taking on a lead defensive role for her team. She is strong, handles it and is capable of defending some players taller than her. 5’8 SG [player_tooltip player_id="79194" first="Riley" last="Johnson"] (Cashmere HS) - Senior [player_tooltip player_id="20149" first="Hailey" last="VanLith"] has attracted all of the headlines surrounding Cashmere basketball, but Johnson has been one of her trusted players in the backcourt. She is a good catch and shoot three point shooter, works hard on defense and knows how to play the game. 5’10 SG [player_tooltip player_id="144528" first="Natalie" last="Fraley"] (Kelso HS) - A smooth and skilled off guard that can hit the midrange jumper or drive to the basket and score. She had a strong sophomore season, including a career high 25 points one game. Overall, she is a really solid all around player and someone worth colleges of a couple different levels checking out. 5’7 CG [player_tooltip player_id="27934" first="Keira" last="Hanson"] (Issaquah HS) - Helped Issaquah to a 22-10 record and state tournament run. Hanson is skilled all around on offense. She can finish with either hand, shoots it from the outside and she can handle it. This Summer season will be huge in helping to determine her level of recruitment. *Feature image 5’3 PG [player_tooltip player_id="156138" first="Ella" last="Koebelin"] (Klahowya HS) - Koebelin plays at a small school, but she did everything in her power to put her name on the map this past high school season winning MVP of her league. Although small in stature, Koebelin was good for nearly 19 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals per game. She is a coach's daughter and knows how to play the game. A player to track moving forward. Photo credit: Stop Action Photography
