There is just one game left in the Non-Public B South state tournament. Trenton Catholic will be taking on Rutgers Prep on Wednesday night to see who will be crowned champion. Here are the standouts from the semi-final round from Saturday night.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="134587" first="Maniya" last="Custis"] (2020) | Trenton Catholic</strong>
Trenton Catholic was challenged in the semi-final round by Moorestown Friends. They were able to pull away behind five three’s from Custis. The senior finished with 26 points to lead the game. She also scored nine points from the free throw line. This was a big time performance that Trenton Catholic needed.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="134642" first="Veyoni" last="Davis"] (2022) | Moorestown Friends</strong>
Moorestown Friends was over matched in this game but they hung around because of the performance from Davis. The sophomore finished with 25 points to lead her team. Davis was a force throughout the entire game and this is why Moorestown Friends was able to be in the game in the fourth quarter.
<strong>Caileigh Walsh (2021) | Gill St. Bernard’s</strong>
Walsh had her work cut out for her against Dalce of Rutgers Prep and she held her own and then some. Walsh used her 6’4 frame to dominate on both sides. She finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and six blocks. This effort came in a loss but it was the most dominant performance of the game.

At 6’3, Dalce is one of the top rim protectors in the state. She continued that trend in this one with three blocks. Dalce controlled this game from the post. She notched a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="134591" first="Olivia" last="Mullins"] (2020) | Rutgers Prep</strong>
Mullins has been an elite scorer for Rutgers Prep all season long. She led the team with 16 points in their semi-final victory. She did all of her work on the inside. Mullins did not hit a shot from deep but she did not need it with the way she was scoring down low.
