Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at the Class 4 quarterfinals, which will be held on Saturday. Here is a look at the four match-ups along with our fearless predictions.
Cape Notre Dame (23-4) vs. Summit (26-3) at Jefferson College, 1 p.m. - Notre Dame advanced to the quarterfinals with an impressive victory over Park Hills Central in the sectionals. The standout of the game was guard Delaney Dohogne, who came off the bench to score 20 points. The Bulldogs are led by 6’0" 2022 guard Lexi Rubel. Summit fought of a rally to defeat Gateway STEM as 6’3" 2020 forward Jasmine Manuel had 22 points and 13 rebounds while guard Jayla McLemore added 16 points. (Prediction: Summit)
Grain Valley (20-7) vs. Lincoln Prep (17-9) at Blue Springs South, 6 p.m. - Lincoln Prep is looking for a return trip to the Final Four. They are quick and loaded with good perimeter talent, led by 5’7" 2020 [player_tooltip player_id="106809" first="Amari" last="Conn"] and 2020 guard Anjanee Bradley. The Bulldogs will have to deal with a big obstacle for Grain Valley in 6’1" 2023 forward [player_tooltip player_id="107013" first="Grace" last="Slaughter"], who is averaging 24 points a game. Ladue (23-4) vs. Incarnate Word (26-4) at St. Charles West, 1 p.m. -  Both teams enjoyed lopsided victories in the sectionals on Wednesday. Ladue is a very experienced team with 2020s Mia Collins, [player_tooltip player_id="106841" first="Jordan" last="Peete"] and Katie Minkler. Three-time state champion IWA has a 2020 leader in [player_tooltip player_id="106817" first="Kate" last="Rolfes"], but the bulk of the team is young talent with 2022s Saniah Tyler, Jaiden Bryant and 2023 forward [player_tooltip player_id="107016" first="Natalie" last="Potts"]. Sullivan (25-2) vs. Carl Junction (28-1) at Southwest Baptist, 7:45 p.m. - These two excellent teams are led by a standout post player who is capable of dominating games. Sullivan is led by 6’0" 2020 [player_tooltip player_id="106819" first="Mallory" last="Shetley"], who scored 28 points in the Eagles’ victory over Helias in the sectionals. Carl Junction is led by 6’2" 2020 do-it-all forward [player_tooltip player_id="106812" first="Katie" last="Scott"] who is the Gatorade Player of the Year in Missouri.
