There are a few players in the 2022 the demand attention for their respective teams based on their work and efforts this past season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158530" first="Elka" last="Prechel"]</strong> made her presence known this year as a shooter not afraid to pull it from deep as she hit some big shots against La Salle in Corvallis’ first game in the 5A State Tournament. Elka isn’t afraid to let it go from deep and will do so with good shot mechanics and a fast release. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158528" first="Ava" last="Peterson"]</strong> is a versatile, all around player for Clackamas that scraps on defense and facilitates on offense. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158532" first="Sibayla" last="Jensen"]</strong> from Grant is an athletic guard that can impact the game in many different ways. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158535" first="Peyton" last="Gardner"]</strong> of Bend is a lightning quick guard that leads her teams through her efforts.
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158530" first="Elka" last="Prechel"] 2022 5’7" SG (Corvallis HS)</strong> - (Pictured) Confident guard that displayed a tenacity to score. Will let it go at a moment’s notice from deep and shoots it at a high percentage. Has a nice handle, can rebound at a good clip for her height. Combo guard looks to expand her game for Corvallis, who had a nice run against La Salle due in part to her fearless offensive skills. </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158528" first="Ava" last="Peterson"] 2022 5’5" PG (Clackamas HS)</strong><strong> </strong>- One may think that Ava’s biggest weapon on offense is her three-point shot, which is effective. However, what really stands out regarding her offensive game is her versatility to do whatever her team needs to do at the given time. This results in her team structured game, which is reflected in her box scores which are filled to the brim. Determined defender that will pester the defender for loose balls and steals. </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158532" first="Sibayla" last="Jensen"] 2022 5’6" SG (Grant HS)</strong><strong> </strong>- Athletic guard for Grant that earned PIL 2nd team honors, was depended on by her team for playing within their system last season. Willing defender that is particularly good with help-side defense. Knows how and where to move the ball within the offense, but when it comes for her time to score, she can do it and get it done in a few different ways.</span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158535" first="Peyton" last="Gardner"] 2022 SG (Bend HS) </strong>- Defensive minded guard for the Lava Bears whose game starts on the defensive end. She digs down on her opposition, finds a way to disturb them, and takes away the ball, initiating the break. She has great court awareness in the open court or can finish it on her own. Still developing as an offensive player but has great motor on both ends of the player.
