Sydney Ward Sydney Ward 6'0" | SF The Village School | 2022 State TX -The Village- I’ve stated numerous that long and athletic is the base and watching her glide to the basket at a young age was something to see and told me even then, she was heading toward D1 status, this 3 years ago. An improved mid to long-range plus great anticipation reading the passing lane has me expecting more
Yasmine Perez-Wagner-saw her a few months ago and I see the progression in a number of areas in a short time, that’s huge. She already had shown she could create her shot, attack the basket and she could thread the needle but she’s also stitching the cloth when an array of offensive moves that are hard to contain
Breelyn Sanborn-Klein Collins-definitely a bright spot, and using the search bar on my blog, voila. I love looking at what I said about players 3 years, she was creating her shot in the 8th grade but she has a nice pull-up in traffic and her athleticism enable her to attack and finish strong, with contact
Belecia Martinez-Incarnate Word- I’ve always enjoyed watching her play and I remember saying when her team needed a basket “they needed to ring their Bell” because she would deliver and she does just that, either by the 3 ball or attacking the basket but what impresses equally is that she sees the floor and makes the right passes
Susie McCormick-Regents-strong finisher and rebounder but she attacks hard from every angle or straight down the middle of the court yet she also is a good passer going full speed and those passes are on the money. She understands the simple things and plays within herself and she also knows how to get hers in the flow
Savannah Wilson-Kingwood-in case you haven’t caught on, I love bragging about my evaluating skills and I said this on my website a couple of years ago. I don’t care what team you’re on, I know what I’m looking at so she runs the floor after rebounding, finishes with both hands and uses her body on top of everything else I said
Raeven Boswell-Lakew Travis- her name preceded her before I saw her walk in the gym and she didn’t start off hot but she burst the thermometer before she left. Again, long and athletic with good timing and elevation but her ability to create her shot and hit the mid or attack, not to mention man on defense and playing the passing lane, I see ya
Brooklin Brown-Shadow Creek-caught her going off at the Peggy Whitley after a fall league game and my exact words were “instant offense off the bench” because when you drop 3 from deep in 2 minutes the way she did, you definitely have my attention and nothing changed during the camp because her athletic ability and mindset combined with her shooting ability has me expecting a big club season from her
Saija Cleveland Saija Cleveland 5'10" | PF Langham Creek | 2022 State TX -Langham Creek-strong and athletic works just as well as long and athletic especially when you have her timing and defying of gravity while attacking the basket. She can play multiple positions, well, and she also brings the heat on defense, baseline to baseline but that offense is filled to capacity as she comes at you with a variety
Jade Miller-Manvel-touted as one of the top defensive guards in the area doesn’t tell the whole picture because I remember catching her going off, either attacking or dropping the three-ball in the 6th grade so it was good to see that side of her doing the camp as well as run the team and make passes pushing the ball at full speed. Good BB-IQ always is a plus yet it’s one of the many she brings to the table
