Shooting guards, scoring guards, whatever your definition of SG might be, several players in Texas have shown me over the years that they could fill it up and as I playback size and stroke, #3 [player_tooltip player_id="65909" first="Carleigh" last="Wenzel"] (O’Connor) is right there among the best I’ve seen and this goes back 20 years, not 20 months, weeks or days and I recall in one of those early sightings "I love watching her shoot that ball". #38 [player_tooltip player_id="135380" first="Caitlyn" last="Panuco"] (Whitley) as well as #46 [player_tooltip player_id="135388" first="Kenna" last="Gibson"] (Clear Springs) could fall in this category as well as many others but one thing that adds in being recruited is versatility so here are some of the top guards I have personally seen that can shoot it
[player_tooltip player_id="96930" first="Laila" last="McCleod"] (Duncanville)
Current Rank #19
McCleod is one of those scorers that can get it in the flow or drop plenty in a row and her outside shooting during the season played a big part in her team winning state (UIL 6A)

Current Rank #24

Current Rank #40
Rhodes falls into that college coaches dream player, a big guard that can shoot it and that she can as she sets defenders up nicely and shoots it accurately
[player_tooltip player_id="135383" first="Kyla" last="Deck"] (Lone Star)
Current Rank #41
Deck is smooth and shifty, her ability to get by players gives her a big advantage if they back off because she has that "around the world" ability to score from all over the court a
[player_tooltip player_id="135385" first="Suni" last="Davis"] (Saginaw)
Current Rank #43
Davis showed poise and ability to hit big shots when I first saw her almost three years ago and that told me a lot but her progression and extended range is telling me more is yet to come
