We continue our Top 5 series, by moving onto the 2021 class. Let me just say that this class is loaded with talent! While going over the players list again in order to choose the players, I was quickly reminded of how much college level talent is in this class. Wow! Today we cover the top 5 point guards of the 2021 class.
#1 [player_tooltip player_id="136241" first="Ally" last="Stedman"] 5’9 2021 PG Pinnacle
Had a tough time deciding whether Stedman should be listed in the point guards list or the shooting guards list. She can easily play both positions with great success. However, I decided to put her in the point guard spot because I think that’s where she will play at the next level. Stedman is an all around point guard, being able to score at a high level (18.4 PPG) or facilitate and get her teammates some good looks (4.6 APG). Stedman holds multiple offers already, if you need an all around electric point guard, you found her.
#2 [player_tooltip player_id="72620" first="Kamryn" last="Doty"] 5’5 2021 PG Sabino
Doty took on a bigger role this season after Kam Rhodes got hurt. It looked like the two talented guards shared the duties of point guard and shooting guard, but with the injury, Doty had to take on those responsibilities herself. Doty did a great job this season. I think she is another very well rounded guard who can give you buckets or assists, averaging 14.1 PPG and 4.5 APG.
#3 Taty Clayburne 5’9 2021 PG Perry
Really love Clayburne’s game and how she plays the point guard position. She has a very good feel for the game and her game is just smooth and flows nicely into the Perry offense. I’d say that Clayburne is more of a pass first point guard, however she can go and get some points herself. She averaged 11.1 PPG and 4.4 APG.
#4 Kassidy Dixon 5’9 2021 PG Millennium
Dixon’s stat line this season does not due her any justice. Do not be fooled. This kid is electric! So much athleticism and energy! Dixon uses her insane athleticism to easily collapse the defense. She can easily finish or dish it out for teammates. I believe that Dixon will have a huge breakout season this next school year and gather more offers for herself. If I am not mistaken, she just received her first D1 offer not too long ago.
#5 [player_tooltip player_id="136252" first="Cadence" last="Davis"] 5’7 2021 PG Williams Field
Davis could be classified as a point guard or shooting guard because that’s what she plays in high school. However, I think at the college level she will play point guard. Davis will be the perfect point guard who can facilitate for her team and knock down the 3 when needed. She has a very good feel for the game and good court vision. Davis is also one of the best 3 point shooters in the class.
