Teams most would have predicted to be in the final four for this year’s tournament are not, underdog teams have rose to the occasion and have put their best foot forward with hopes of advancing to play for a state championship.
(1) Eastside Catholic vs. (6) Lake Washington

Lake Washington has fought their way from opening rounds and now have a lot of momentum heading into their matchup against Eastside Catholic. With a 17-point win against Hudson’s Bay then an impressive victory against Mt. Spokane by 3. Sophomore forward [player_tooltip player_id="27933" first="Elise" last="Hani"] put up a double-double, and sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id="27948" first="Rosa" last="Smith"] had a great all-around game. She put up 16 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block and 2 steals. Player to look for is standout freshman [player_tooltip player_id="115401" first="Sydney" last="Hani"] who can score from anywhere on the floor. Eastside Catholic’s young team was battle tested by Seattle Prep but managed to win by 4. ZaZa Walton put up an outstanding double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id="115413" first="Malia" last="Samuels"], [player_tooltip player_id="115405" first="Imbie" last="Jones"] and Miracle Sheppard are still players to be aware of despite their bad shooting night.
(3) Arlington vs. (9) Garfield

Garfield pulled off a tournament upset by beating Bethel 55-41 who was ranked #2 in this year’s state tournament. Michigan commit [player_tooltip player_id="20155" first="Meghan" last="Fiso"] poured in 15 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assist and 2 steals. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="85932" first="Sahcari" last="Davis"] lead the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 16 points. Despite their rough patches late in the season they’re still a threat in this tournament. Look out for the rest of their senior core of [player_tooltip player_id="20150" first="Dalayah" last="Daniels"], [player_tooltip player_id="85913" first="Kira" last="Wood"] and [player_tooltip player_id="20188" first="Kareyna" last="Taylor"] to have great performances tonight as well. Arlington managed to pull off a 1-point victory last night after trailing all game against Shorecrest thanks to the scoring of [player_tooltip player_id="82935" first="Hailey" last="Hiatt"] who had 17 and Makenzie Gage finished with 15. The Eagles are a team who love to shoot 3’s which can be a gift and a curse all in one. Look out for sophomore guard Kiera Marsh, solid all-around player who does the little intangibles to help her team win.
