There’s nothing like seeing "next level talent going against next-level talent" yet some think stats and efficiency ratings have meaning and validity yet based on my own algorithm I’ve put together, more times than not they mean absolutely nothing because "it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against" and even though I have it pinned on Twitter, sometimes I just want to pin my head against the backboard because evidently it goes over the heads of many. [player_tooltip player_id="136312" first="Zoe" last="Nelson"] (Hendrickson) overly impressed me in middle school, her ability to play all positions while standing over "the magic number" told me a lot and after the show, she put on this season, let’s just say the show ain’t over but several other forwards, including have my crystal ball showing me they’re going to go out with a bang as seniors after their She’s Ballin Showcase showing
[player_tooltip player_id="136336" first="Amillion" last="Fowler"] (George Ranch)
Current Rank #56
Fowler’s explosiveness and athleticism has always impressed me, she made a Tip Sheet heading to high school and she falls into that "highlight waiting to happen" category yet her team will have a new look next season and her face will be upfront
[player_tooltip player_id="136353" first="Jazra" last="Williams"] (Vista Ridge)
Current Tank #70
Williams is one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen, she went from a back to the basket player to a face the basket and hit the short jumper and now she’s shooting the three-ball as well as attacking off of the dribble. Her squad lost some heavy hitters yet she’s ready to step up to the plate
[player_tooltip player_id="136354" first="Akasha" last="Davis"] (Wylie East)
Current Rank #72
Davis is long, she’s athletic and again, that’s the base I look for but her sheer power be it rebounding or scoring inside the paint has not gone unnoticed. She also elevates over defenders, did I mention she’s 6’2 and with her timing, she blocks, deflects and alters plus she runs the floor
Keundra Kelly (Rudder)
UNRANKED
Kelly first caught my eye on Twelve when she was around 12 and although I've used that line before, I won't using any lines about how impressed I've been with her progression over the years. She has become deadly from bta and she can score in the paint as well as rebound
Gabby Owens (George Ranch)
UNRANKED
Owens is a battler, she dives on the floor after loose balls, she goes into the stands for them, she’s in the paint outmaneuvering taller players and she can score inside and outside. I’m doing all of this from memory yet she left some lasting memories at the Showcase because "it’s not what she did, it’s who she did it against"
