I have to give a special S/O to some seniors I’ve been watching for a very long time [player_tooltip player_id="66108" first="Deja" last="Kelly"] (Duncanville) who helped lead her team to a State Championship (UIL 6A) and was named tournament MVP as well as [player_tooltip player_id="137467" first="Jayda" last="Argumon"] (Woodville) who was named All-Tournament (UIL 3A) along with [player_tooltip player_id="100117" first="Emily" last="Dogbatse"] (The Village) who played a key role in their state championship (TAPPS 6A). All three were caught by me in middle school and I have enjoyed watching their progression over the years and speaking of progression, [player_tooltip player_id="100112" first="Morgan" last="Hill"] (Cy Creek) has been amazing and after catching San Antonio Veterans Memorial stars [player_tooltip player_id="67921" first="Sahara" last="Jones"] and [player_tooltip player_id="137424" first="Brenna" last="Perez"] only recently, their all-tournament selection (UIL 5A) did not go unnoticed but here are some of the juniors that I caught in person or one more time via MEMOREX
[player_tooltip player_id="97622" first="Kyndall" last="Hunter"] (Cy Creek) was amazing on the offensive end averaging over 20 ppg throughout the playoffs and watching her put on shooting exhibitions during the run was fun. Hunter’s teammate [player_tooltip player_id="97930" first="Taylor" last="Jackson"] turned it up a notch, well more than one and has elevated her game and status for the next level and the same can be said for [player_tooltip player_id="97647" first="Zaria" last="Rufus"] (Duncanville) who was just amazing in their run to the state championship (UIL 6A) and all three were named to the All-Tournament Team. How about [player_tooltip player_id="136314" first="Kierra" last="Sanderlin"] (San Antonio Judson) putting her team on her back for a run, [player_tooltip player_id="136312" first="Zoe" last="Nelson"] (Hendrickson) and [player_tooltip player_id="67946" first="AJ" last="Marotte"] (Vista Ridge) as well but [player_tooltip player_id="67958" first="Gracelynn" last="Alvarez"] (Heights) took her school to heights it has never seen as she scored at will and I have to say [player_tooltip player_id="97627" first="Raven" last="Adams"] and [player_tooltip player_id="158673" first="Arleighsha" last="Fontenot"] formed a one-two combination leading their school (Ridgepoint) to it’s first regional but let me drop the mic with [player_tooltip player_id="155249" first="Na’Layjah" last="Johnson"] (College Station) whose clutch offensive performances helped lead them to the school’s first-ever state tournament (UIL 5A)
