They are players who are lower than they could be because of just the sheer amount of talent in the 2022 class or because they still have a few things to work on in their game. Either way, I believe that these three players could dramatically rise up the rankings – and in the eyes of college coaches – before 2022 gets here.
Ky’lan Seaton Ky’lan Seaton 5'5" | PG Eisenhower | 2022 State OK | 5-5 PG | Eisenhower | @kyseaton
Seaton can flat out ball. She currently ranks No. 24 in the PGH Oklahoma rankings, but is the No. 15 guard. There is no doubt that she is set to skyrocket with a good grassroots season with Oklahoma Elite. Seaton is undersized when it comes to the other guards in Oklahoma, but that does not stop her from driving hard to the hoop and finishing. She has a wicked crossover and a developing eurostep that makes her deadly inside. She will either score or always draw contact. Her three-point shooting is streaky right now, but what shooter isn’t? She makes up for it with awesome dishes to her teammate from her point at the top of the arc. With time, experience and a little more shooting practice, Seaton is going to skyrocket through the rankings and onto a Division-I program’s recruiting board.
Jordan Harrison Jordan Harrison 5'5" | PG Classen SAS | 2022 State OK | 5-5 PG | Classen SAS | @j_harrison2022
Harrison is the point guard on what is probably the best team in the state. She is the one who most often feeds the ball inside to our No. 1 player in the class of 2022, Darianna Littlepage-Buggs Darianna Littlepage-Buggs 6'1" | SF Classen SAS | 2022 State #24 Nation OK . She has plenty of options on the Classen SAS team which can cause her to sometimes be overlooked. That being said, she can completely take over a game as needed and was a large reason that Classen SAS upset Booker T. Washington in the Jenks/Union tournament earlier this season. She rarely misses open threes and has a knack for hitting them for daggers at important times. Despite her size, she is unafraid. Like Seaton, she can drive to the hoop and get her own points. She is such a threat that the defense is drawn to her, opening up her teammates. Harrison is a star and there is no doubt that she will be one of the top three guards in the state before all is said and done.
Taleyah Jones Taleyah Jones 5'8" | CG Broken Arrow | 2022 State OK | 5-8 SG | Broken Arrow
Jones has great height for a guard and uses it very well. She is somewhat undersized, which can make one worry when she drives hard to the hoop – as she is want to do. But, she is tough. She is vicious when it comes to scoring. She has the ability to take over a game completely, which she did in the playoffs this year by scoring 36 to help her team advance. Jones is an outstanding spot-up shooter with a very high release. She rarely ever gets blocked because of her quickness and height. She is possibly the best pure scoring guard in the class of 2022. She is currently the No. 4 guard in the class of 2022 and will no doubt fight hard to reach the top of the rankings before all is said and done. She clearly has a fire inside of her to be the best.
