The Class of 2020 has played their final high school games. In 2020-2021, they will not be on the floor so it is up to some players to step up so their teams can stay relevant. These are some of the biggest names that will step up and become No. 1 options.
[player_tooltip player_id="155550" first="Rachel" last="Capua"] (2021) | Jackson Memorial
Capua averaged 19 points per game as a junior. She knocked down 62 three’s and was a threat for Jackson since game one. Next season, she will take the next step and become unstoppable. [player_tooltip player_id="134585" first="Kristina" last="Donza"] is the No. 1 ranked player in the Class of 2020. She will be moving on to Navy which means Capua will step up and take over her role as the catalyst.
[player_tooltip player_id="134634" first="Eniya" last="Scott"] (2022) | Bayonne
This is not as much filling big shoes as continuing to be a star. Scott averaged 14.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game. Not to mention over three steals per game. And she was only a sophomore. Scott will return to Bayonne as one of the best players in the Class of 2022. The program is in good hands over the next two years.
[player_tooltip player_id="134642" first="Veyoni" last="Davis"] (2022) | Moorestown Friends
Davis is another prospect that has completely arrived. The Moorestown Friends sophomore led the team with 20 points per game [player_tooltip player_id="134584" first="Isabella" last="Runyan"] will be playing at Villanova next season but Davis has the team under control. She is a quick guard that can set her teammates up and score the ball. She is best with the ball in her hands and Moorestown Friends is not afraid to run the offense through her.
[player_tooltip player_id="134623" first="A’Nyah" last="Barker"] (2021) | Immaculate Heart
[player_tooltip player_id="134583" first="Anna" last="Morris"] was one of the top forwards in the state this season. Northwestern is getting a talented big next season but Immaculate Heart still has Barker on the perimeter. She is a talented scorer who sacrificed some of her offense this season. Barker is a talented passer and someone that can fill up a stat sheet.
[player_tooltip player_id="155551" first="Bella" last="Vito"] (2021) | Montville
Vito created a dynamic duo with [player_tooltip player_id="156153" first="Emma" last="Wax"] this season. Wax will be moving on to Marist and Vito will return for her senior season as the No. 1 option. She is a scorer at all three levels. Vito knocked down 37 three’s as a junior and got to the free throw line with regularity. Teams will now have to game plan for Vito having the ball in her hands at most times throughout a game.
[player_tooltip player_id="134621" first="Abigail" last="Antognoli"] (2021) | St. Rose
St. Rose is getting hit hard this offseason by losing both [player_tooltip player_id="134582" first="Brynn" last="Farrell"] and [player_tooltip player_id="134594" first="Makayla" last="Andrews"]. What they have coming back is guard on the perimeter that can score inside and out, rebound on both ends, and pass effectively. Antognoli will be one of the top guards in the state next season and she will lead St. Rose as far as they go.
Lyndsey Ross (2021) | Secaucus
Secaucus is losing a two-way threat in [player_tooltip player_id="156154" first="Damaris" last="Rodriguez"]. They are a young team with five members in the Class of 2023.
