The class of 2022 rankings update has been released. Our initial rankings for this class included just ten prospects. Since then we have added 27 new prospects. All of these young players had an opportunity to play at the varsity level of high school with just one year of high school competition under their belts and they made good on their opportunity. There is still a lot of time left on their high school and grassroots careers and we are looking forward to tracking their development.
Here is our list of newcomers to the class of 2022 rankings.

Point Guards: [player_tooltip player_id="153114" first="Nia" last="Bozeman"], [player_tooltip player_id="152658" first="Kyia" last="Craft"], and [player_tooltip player_id="153149" first="Shannon" last="Niles"] are the top three additions at this position. All three showed that they are confident players and can handle the role of primary ball handler. Bozeman, the smaller of the three, has a good offensive game with both some crafty finishes and range out to the arc. Craft has a strong frame and uses it to her advantage on both sides of the floor. She is dangerous in transition especially after forced turnovers where she can turn defense into offense quickly using speed and strength to get to the rim. Niles is more of a traditional PG. She can knock down open jumpers and make strong drives to the rim, but she is a willing passer that likes to get her teammates involved.
Shooting Guards: [player_tooltip player_id="153115" first="Sarah" last="Taub"], [player_tooltip player_id="156032" first="Keyonna" last="Giles"], and [player_tooltip player_id="153116" first="Dayuna" last="Colvin"] round out the top three added shooting guards and they all have shown the ability to score the ball. Colvin is the bigger of the three and plays more of a slashers game but can knock down the open jumper. She is also a strong rebounding guard that is not afraid of contact. Taub is a developing shooter with a quick release. She prefers the jump shot whether mid-range or behind the arc but can get to the rim in transition and with good ball fakes. Giles does a little of everything. She is a strong finisher at the rim with a quick first step. She is a good defender with quickness on the perimeter.
Combo Guards: [player_tooltip player_id="148860" first="Ta’Mia" last="Stargell"] and [player_tooltip player_id="154605" first="Shaina" last="Kriews"] were the two newcomers at this poisiton. They showed the ability to play both the primary ball-handler and off ball guard positions. Stargell is good in transition and plays with toughness to fight through contact to get to the rim. She has a good feel for when to push the drive or settle for the mid-range jumper. Kriews is already a pretty good shooter but has the ball-handling and IQ to play the point guard position. She is a patient player that likes to scan the defense to make the correct read for easy scores.
Small Forwards: [player_tooltip player_id="152655" first="Raven" last="Thompson"], [player_tooltip player_id="148864" first="Aniya" last="Palmer"], and [player_tooltip player_id="148861" first="Flau’jae" last="Johnson"] are some of the more versatile prospect additions. They have all shown an ability to get it done around the perimeter and on the interior. Thompson has more of a skilled game at this point. She has the ability to create her own shot using dribble moves and flashy finishes. Palmer has great length and a high motor<span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Extremely long. High motor. Defends without fouling. Shot blocker. Two-way player. Slasher/playmaker. Will need to improve outside shot. Good future. -- KS"}" data-sheets-userformat="{"2":15233,"3":{"1":0},"10":2,"11":0,"12":0,"14":{"1":2,"2":0},"15":"Calibri, sans-serif","16":11}">. She can defend positions 1-4 and is good at timing blocks without fouling. She is a slasher and playmaker that is still improving her percentage from behind the arc. Johnson made</span> a major impact for her high school team this year. She is long and can score at every level. Her length and athleticism causes challenges for her opponents on both ends of the floor.
Post: [player_tooltip player_id="152652" first="Xavier" last="Dyer"], [player_tooltip player_id="148862" first="Keona" last="Curtis"], and [player_tooltip player_id="153494" first="Amaya" last="Moss"] are all new additions in the post position. Dyer is the most physically imposing in this group. She is a force on the glass and uses her strength and length to muscle defenders in the paint. She is also a good rim protector and can cover a lot of ground very quickly when attempting to block or contest shots. Moss is the most intriguing from this group. She has an unbelievable motor that leads to great effectiveness on offense and defense. She played a major role in helping her team to a state championship appearance. She has potential to move to the small forward position as she continues to develop.
