The Starting Five
Kaemyn Bekemeier Kaemyn Bekemeier 5'9" | SG Republic | 2023 State MO 5’9″ Republic: The young wing player who emerged as one of the top players in SW Missouri. Had a coming out part of 29 points in a victory over Jefferson City at the Capital City Classic. She averaged 15 points, five rebounds and two assists while shooting 51 percent from the field in leading Republic to the Class 5 quarterfinals.
Raychel Jones 5’10″ Vashon: An all-around talented wing who led the Wolverines to a Class 4 district championship in a great turnaround season. She is capable of playing all five positions on the floor. She averaged 17 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.8 steals while earning Public High League Co-Player of the Year honors.
Brooklyn Rhodes Brooklyn Rhodes 6'0" | PF Whitfield | 2023 State MO 6’2″ Whitfield: The versatile post player was a double-double machine in helping the Warriors to a third-place finish in the Class 3 state tournament. Her length and athleticism enabled her to defend multiple positions on the floor. Rhodes averaged 10.3 points and 11.5 rebounds while shooting 57 percent from the floor and blocking a team-high 41 shots.
Grace Straughter 6’1″ Grain Valley: A talented young forward who had a dominant freshman season in leading Grain Valley to the Class 4 state quarterfinals. She averaged 23.4 points, four rebounds and 2.4 steals a game while being an offensive force in the paint or on the perimeter.
Jada Williams Jada Williams 5'6" | PG La Jolla Country Day | 2023 State #6 Nation CA 5’7″ Blue Springs: The tremendous young point guard led the Wildcats to a Final Four berth in the Class 5 state tournament. She averaged 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.0 steal while controlling games with her scoring, passing and floor leadership.
