With All-Conference and All-State selections out, it is time to look at the best players in each grade and we begin with the Class of 2021. The upcoming senior class is full of star power. Here are the Third Team selections from the junior class. [player_tooltip player_id="134610" first="Katie" last="Hill"] | St. John Vianney Hill was a model of consistency for St. John Vianney this season. The Lancers were a team with a lot of next level players. Hill was one of them who showed up night in and night out. She averaged 11.3 points per contest and it 37 three’s. Hill was a strong defender using her length. [player_tooltip player_id="134616" first="Ariel" last="Jenkins"] | Stuart Day At 6’4, it is no surprise that Jenkins was one of the top rebounders in the state. She grabbed a total of 332 rebounds for an average of 11.9 per game. She was a double-double machine, averaging one and notching 19. She finished under 10 rebounds in just one game as a junior. Jenkins will enter her final season as one of the most intimidating presences down low. [player_tooltip player_id="155551" first="Bella" last="Vito"] | Montville Montville is happy to have Vito back for one more season. She averaged 15 points this season and did it from all over the floor. Vito knocked down 37 three’s this season and made it a habit of getting to the line. She is an athletic guard that can get in the lane and finish among bigger defenders. With Vito as a No. 1 option, Montville will see a lot of success next season. [player_tooltip player_id="159446" first="Kaelonn" last="Wilson"] | Piscataway Wilson is another strong presence in the paint. The 6’2 forward was an elite rebounder on both ends of the floor this season. She posted 22 rebounds in an early season game against North Hunterdon. Wilson was also a big time shot blocker with six games of five or more blocks. [player_tooltip player_id="134617" first="Nia" last="Melvin"] | Stuart Day Melvin was the outside presence for Stuart Day to compliment Jenkins on the inside. 12.9 points per game. Melvin was a threat on both ends. She has extremely quick hands which helped her come up with steals. Melvin knocked down 59 three’s per game and could score at will in the lane. Stuart Day will be a tough team to take down next season because of their incredible balance.
