Texas usually has over 100 players capable of playing D1 basketball, it’s been like that since I complained to the NATIONAL EVALUATORS over 15 years ago and it has continued since I had the bright idea of not caring about what THEY said and started promoting the talent my own self of er ten years ago so no matter what anyone else tells you, I’m the guy that got the ball rolling, it’s documented and I will always keep it real so with that being said, just because there are and will be over 100, many get overlooked for numerous reasons and some just choose to go to programs because it’s a better fit. #48 [player_tooltip player_id="100082" first="Kenshawnna" last="Reed"] had D1 offers but chose Midwestern State, #71 [player_tooltip player_id="100108" first="Mailyn" last="Wikerson"] played on an EYBL team but chose Trinty Valley over bigger schools because she wanted to work on more things and #76 [player_tooltip player_id="100117" first="Emily" last="Dogbatse"] will be a steal when she leaves Eastern Arizona JC. All three of these players could’ve played D1 ball yet they chose the right fit so here’s the next group
[player_tooltip player_id="136315" first="Isabella" last="Earle"] (Denton Guyer)
Current Rank #25
Earle is one of the top long ball shooters as well as one of the top midrange shooters in the state and the thing that stands out even more to me is that she loves taking the pressure shot and she delivers. She also creates off the dribble as handles the ball and sees the floor
[player_tooltip player_id="97915" first="Nyah" last="Wilson"] (Duncanville)
Current Rank #26
Wilson was instant offense off the bench for the Pantherettes when I caught them at the Sandra Meadows Classic and when you’re one of the teams leading scorers, that speaks volumes as to her ability to do that helped them win a state championship this season
[player_tooltip player_id="136316" first="Autumn" last="Smith"] (Arlington Martin)
Current Rank #27
Smith understands how to take defenders off the dribble, she scores with either hand and her athleticism enables her to rebound well from the guard spot and push the ball coast to coast to score or assist yet on top of all of that, I loved watching her "catch and shoot" with consistency
[player_tooltip player_id="136317" first="Zarria" last="Carter"] (Mansfield)
Current Rank #28
Carter rebounds strongly on both ends and that just gives you a glimpse of the type of guard she is because she attacks the basket powerfully and defends the same way. Nice midrange game, understands how to get hers "in the flow"
[player_tooltip player_id="136318" first="Nicole" last="Petrakovitz"]
Current Rank #29
Petrakovitz was a hidden gem I caught at the Katy Classic and showed me I hadn’t seen a mirage later in the season. Her explosive first step combined with a legitimate jumper from deep just sets everything off yet she finishes with flair, after contact
[player_tooltip player_id="136319" first="Jade" last="Goynes"] (North Crowley)
Current Rank #30
Goynes savviness has always impressed me but even more so at last seasons Texas Invitational as she showed up and out. Her athleticism and strength made her overpowering as she attacked the basket, her pull-up, as well as her stop and pop, going full speed just stood out
[player_tooltip player_id="97930" first="Taylor" last="Jackson"] (Cypress Creek)
Current Rank #31
Jackson’s desire to be"all she could be" shows the hard work she continues to put in and being named All-State for her runner-up school stream speaks volumes. Good size rebounds on both ends and is finishing with both hands, this includes after contact
[player_tooltip player_id="136321" first="Kiara" last="Jackson"] (South Grand Prairie)
Current Rank #32
Jackson was another unknown I knew nothing about yet blowing by defenders going left made me realize what I had been missing because not only is she athletic and under control, she handles the ball well going full speed, and when you add she can shoot the three...
[player_tooltip player_id="136322" first="Mariah" last="Roberts"] (Arlington Martin)
Current Rank #33
I love players that can rebound and go coast to coast and when you can do it going full speed, like Roberts, and under control, she does that as well, then you definitely have a player that can give you options, especially when they can see the floor or finish themselves
[player_tooltip player_id="136320" first="Mackenzie" last="Wurm"] (Allen)
Current Rank #34
Wurm is 75 inches tall, now that I have your attention, her hands and footwork immediately got checkmarks to go with the base I love "long and athletic" but to no surprise, she rebounds well on both ends, she blocks and alters shots but equally as important is that she finishes her shot
