The plan for June is to now make this a true Top-100, and that will remain the strategy moving forward. With that said, there are several prospects from the watch list I already have in mind to move into the Top-100 at that time, and I wanted to highlight five ladies from the watch list who are likely to make it into the Top-100 in June when we finish our next update.

Teegan is difficult to define by position, because she’s just a ballplayer. When I saw her last Summer, she played some on the interior, a lot in the mid-post, and a little around the perimeter. Ultimately, I think her skillset and ability will allow her to play a true small forward position at the next level, though. She is quietly tough, she plays with some physicality, and she has a great motor and will battle inside when necessary. She’s a solid all-around athlete, and I think as she gets stronger, you’ll see her start to make significant Varsity contributions in the next year or two.

Bailey had an outstanding Freshman year, as she came in and led Garrett in scoring at 16.1 points per game. She only scored in single-digits three times, and she did so over the course of a 4-game stretch. To end that stretch, she poured in 45 points against New Haven. She has an athletic frame, she moves well in most directions, and she is a willing rebounder. Bailey shot it reasonably well from the perimeter (33%), and she was really good from the foul line (76%). As she continues to develop her handle and be more dynamic off the bounce, look for her to potentially draw some Division-I interest.

When the season began, I’m sure Tipton thought Ashlee would contribute, even start, and would play a solid role within their lineup. What she ended up giving them most nights was a mismatch who can really develop and become dominant the next three seasons. Ashlee has a strong frame, some length, and she’s approaching 6-3 at this point. She has great hands, good touch to near the 3-point line, but she’s also capable of burying defenders in the post and scoring with either hand inside. She’s also an imposing threat inside defensively. Ashlee finished the season averaging 10.5 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.
Quinci Thomas, 2023, 6-0 PF, Brownsburg H.S.
If Quinci has anything on her side, it’s certainly genetics. Her mother played at Indiana State, her father played at Southern Illinois, her brother Reis is a Freshman football player at Wabash College, and her brother Pierce is a high school Junior already committed to Butler University for basketball. Quinci is quite an athlete as well with a great frame and length. She is bouncy and energetic, but still needs some work skillfully. She gave Brownsburg key minutes on the frontline in several games this season, but her focus in the long run could end up being on the volleyball court, as she’s a high level recruit there.

, 2023, 5-11 PF, Evansville Mater Dei H.S.
Kate is a solid young frontline prospect who should see quite a bit of opportunity moving forward for Mater Dei. She is a strong kid, she moves well in most directions, and she has really good skill in the mid-post. She is a consistent shooter at 15 to 17-feet, but she can also take smaller defenders to the block and score over them. Her older sister,

, was Mater Dei’s second leading scorer this year and has shown perimeter ability, so I think Kate can eventually stretch her game outside consistently as well. I most like her toughness and physicality, combined with her skill and understanding of the game. If she can make herself just a little more dynamically offensively, I think she’ll see several interested schools in the future.
