This is part three of "First Looks" at prospects from the Class of 2022 who we are getting slight glimpses of via film. With the obvious exception of [player_tooltip player_id="147464" first="Josie" last="Wiebusch"], these are players we haven’t seen before. We look forward to watching them carry their game even further this summer!
[player_tooltip player_id="182116" first="Coco" last="Duininck"], Central Minnesota Christian
Duininck is a player we at PGH Minnesota will be watching closely once AAU basketball starts back up because it appears that she deserves serious consideration to join our top 150 prospects in the Class of 2022. She has such a great all-around game from shooting beyond the arc, driving to the bucket, or stop-and-shoots from mid-range. What caught my eye on film was her ability to read her opponent’s eyes and lock-in where the pass was going, and grabbing the ball for a wide-open fast break. Duininck averaged just under 20 points, 5 steals, and 4 assists per game and was Co-MVP of the Camden Conference last season. She will play AAU for Minnesota Rise Wright.

[player_tooltip player_id="147464" first="Josie" last="Wiebusch"], St. Peter
Duininck’s AAU teammate, [player_tooltip player_id="147464" first="Josie" last="Wiebusch"] has great range and can shoot from anywhere on the floor. Where I liked her most on film was in the paint as she has a strong first and has second to none mobility to move down low. Her long reach helps her significantly on defense as you’ll see on film. She averaged 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist per game for the 20-win Saints from St. Peter.

[player_tooltip player_id="223915" first="Katelyn" last="Diegnau"], GHEC Truman/Martin Luther
Diegnau provides excellent length for the Jags. At 6’2 she has extremely long arms that create such a mismatch for any smaller ball-handler with her in their way. Diegnau is also a proficient rebounder who will grab everything near her with all that length. As far as her shooting ability, although she is a threat in the post, she places the ball very high on the backboard to get her shots off. Diegnau will play AAU basketball for Minnesota Nice.

Ella Waltman, Stewartville
Waltman is a 5’8 shooting guard who is very much under the radar thanks to injuries. Her limited action did provide some sparks, however, as she is very efficient on defense. Waltman has a solid looking 3 point shot if she’s left with a significant amount of room. She shows off that hustle mentality, diving for loose balls. Her longer than most wingspan will help out the Tigers in press situations. Waltman should see a much larger role this season due to the graduation of 2020 top 75 guard, [player_tooltip player_id="110906" first="Lily" last="Welch"].
