Mercer County is full of high schools that have talented guards up and down the roster. It was difficult picking out the top ones in the county but here they are.

The list has to begin with the best guard in the county and one of the top in the state. Brooks is nationally ranked in the Class of 2023 and that is because of her ability on both ends. Brooks is an athletic guard with quickness that is beyond her age. She can score from anywhere on the floor and runs the offense to perfection. She can handle the ball in the open court or slow it down and run a half court set. Brooks is must watch every time she is on the floor.
[player_tooltip player_id="134753" first="Kyla" last="Glasser-Hyman"] (2023) | Hightstown
Hyman came in and made an immediate impact for Hightstown in her rookie season. She led the team with 15.2 points per game and thrived at getting to the rim. She has a knack of drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. She was one of the top free throw shooters in the county with 90 makes. Glasser-Hyman has a wide range of skills and she will turn into one of the top prospects in the state.
Allie Neumann (2022) | Robbinsville
Neumann was an elite shooter on one end and a thief on the other. She had a smooth jump shot that she let go from anywhere on the floor. On defense, she has great length and anticipation which allows her to get in the passing lane and turn defense into offense quickly.
Tamia Warner (2021) | Ewing
Warner was a do-it-all guard for Ewing this season. She could fill up a stat sheet with ease and it began with her being the top scorer on the team. She knocked down 37 three’s which also led the team. Warner is an agile guard with a large skill set from the point guard position. Ewing will have their leader back for one more year.
Nicole Villalta-Barrantes (2022) | Notre Dame
Notre Dame was one of the top teams in Mercer County this season. [player_tooltip player_id="134593" first="Erika" last="Porter"] had a monster senior season but she will not be around for 2020-2021. This leaves Barrantes with the responsibility of being the No. 1 option. She showed an ability to light it up from deep or score in the lane. She is a strong guard that can finish with contact and get to the free throw line.
Ashley Tumpowsky (2021) | Princeton
Tumpowsky was one of the few upperclassman on Princeton this season. They had nine underclassmen on the team this season, eight sophomores and one freshman.
